The popular, free Summit Cinema movie nights return to Summit Park, 4335 Glendale Milford Road, starting on June 9, with movies selected by you!
People were encouraged to suggest and vote for the featured flicks on social media. Here are the winners and dates (movie descriptions below):
June 9 – The Greatest Showman (PG) June 23 – Matilda (PG) July 14 – Black Panther (PG-13) July 28 – Moana (PG)
"It has been fun to see the enthusiasm and participation from the community in the movie selection process," said Margaret O’Gorman, General Manager of Programs and Events with Blue Ash Parks and Recreation. "We are excited to bring Summit Cinema back this year so families and the community can come together and watch some great movies under the stars."
Summit Cinema is free and open to the public. The outdoor movies begin at dusk on the Great Lawn on a large inflatable screen.
Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs and grab a bite to eat or a DORA beverage at the fantastic restaurants and establishments located at Summit Park. Free popcorn, provided by Toyota, will be available while supplies last.

Matilda An intelligent little girl who is neglected by her parents discovers that she has telekinetic powers. Not until a teacher shows her kindness for the first time does she realize that she can use those powers to do something about her sufferings and help her friends as well.
Black Panther A superhero known as Black Panther defends Wakanda, a technologically advanced country in Africa that has hidden itself away from the rest of the world. Now, he must face a dissident who wants to sell the country's natural resources to fund an uprising.
Moana From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes “Moana,” a sweeping, CG-animated feature film about an adventurous teenager who is inspired to leave the safety and security of her island on a daring journey to save her people. Inexplicably drawn to the ocean, Moana (voice of Auliʻi Cravalho) convinces the mighty demigod Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson) to join her mission, and he reluctantly helps her become a wayfinder like her ancestors who sailed before her. Together, they voyage across the open ocean on an action-packed adventure, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds, and along the way, Moana fulfills her quest and discovers the one thing she’s always sought: her own identity.
